Chess: Random Position Generator

In chess, I find myself blundering pieces a lot. I made this little tool to come up with random positions, so I can practice finding all the possible captures from the position, from both sides.

This generator has limited ability to check legality of positions, and may with some regularity come up with invalid positions.

Things covered:

• Pawns won't be on file 1 or 8
• Both kings will always be placed
• Kings will not be placed on adjacent squares

TO DO:

• Ensure only one king can be in check
• If a side is in check, ensure it's that side's turn to move
• (long shot) Prevent stalemate positions
